I love my phone. It is my lifeline to the outside world. It is how I communicate with my friends, family and others, and what my family is up to, what we're doing, and pictures of our kids doing regular crazy kid stuff. The thing is, I share on multiple platforms - Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. So what happens is that my family’s pictures, videos, posts and events are spread across all of my social networks, mobile phones and computers because yes, I also take a million pictures with my lovely camera and upload photos that way. And because I'm sure you're just like me, I want to introduce you to Lifeables. It's a NEW and FREE way of collecting all of your family’s milestones into one virtual scrapbook. Bonus points for being completely secure!
So the way it works is you sign up for your FREE membership by entering a few minor details. I chose to sign up via Facebook to save a few precious seconds instead of typing out my name, email, etc.
So because I wanted to see what it could do I just linked my Facebook account. Then I hopped onto this screen and it asked me for my kid's info. I chose to just stick with my oldest kid's info.
So then when I pushed the button "Show Me What You've Found" it pulled up this:
Lifeables had scanned my Facebok profile and pulled everything that said Logan on it. I was both impressed, and shocked at the amount of pictures I've shared of him.
So once you have your social media accounts set up and all your kid's info set up then that's when the fun begins. It compiles everything into a virtual scrapbook that you can share and also have the option of producing mementos with pictures, posts, updates, etc., that Lifeables has pulled from your sites.
Now, I have to tell you. I was really, really impressed by this service. I update quite frequently and things can get buried really quickly if there are a lot of pictures, updates, whatever. So then when I go to find a picture to send to my mom or my cousins in Mexico, Arizona or wherever they are, it takes me a very, very long time to find. I love sharing pictures, events, and everything else in between and having a service like Lifeables makes it convenient for me to share my moments with others.
By the way, if you decide to sign up for Lifeables and take advantage of this ingenious FREE idea and you take the shortcut by signing up via Facebook, there's a little drop down menu on the left hand side where you can choose to only share your Lifeables activities with certain groups (Friends, Family, "Only Me", etc.). I chose "Only Me" because my status updates would overwhelm my page.

Now I want to hear from you: How do you organize all your online content when it comes to your family's milestones? Or are you just like me updating day after day and letting pictures, check-ins, etc. sit in your social media sites?
