Daily Valentine Themed Art Activities- All Month Long
This month in the art studio do something for the little one in your life by allowing them to creatively express themselves through artistic creation. Choose the day that will best suit your little ones developmental level:
  • Tuesdays – Young Toddler (12 – 24 months), Toddler (2-3 years): Close to My Heart – These special art projects are designed as keepsakes that you will keep close to your heart forever.
  • Wednesdays - Preschool (4-5 years): Paper Party – Today your preschooler will have a paper party while using recycled paper to create heartastic projects!
  • Thursday - School Ages (6 years and up):  Hearty Holidays – As your children enter school they become more aware of the calendar and all of the special days within the year.  On Thursdays, let’s focus on all of those special holidays in February by creating works of art!
  • Fridays- Kindergartners (5-6 years):  Heart Art – Hearts not only keep your bodies moving, but in a symbolic form are an expression of love and poetically refer to one’s soul. Using these meanings and this symbol, your child will work to create their very own heart art.
Valentine’s Day Celebration- Tuesday, February 14th
Fun activities all day long, including:
  • Sensational Story Time: The Kissing Hand – What better way to celebrate the day than with a story about the love of family!
  • Poetry Play: Love Poem – Poetry is another language used to express love and it only needs a few words. By 2 years of age your child can express themselves in simple words. Use these words to create a love poem to remind you of these special times.
  • Symbols in a Second: Hearts, Cupids, and Roses – oh my! During this holiday many symbols are seen in the community that represents Valentine’s Day and so much more. Today is your chance to learn more about these symbols and what they represent.
  • Good to Go Game: Pin the Arrow on the Heart – Watch your child turn into cupid as they try to pin the arrow on the heart!
