Celebrate la naturaleza with Aveeno Active Naturals
AVEENO celebra the Beauty of Nature this season. My mami would tell me her little secrets growing up about using what's already in nature to my advantage. Most of her tips and recipes were passed down from my nana to her, and I'll keep the tradition going as I pass it on to my nieces. Although... growing up in a Latino community, my mami wasn't the only one giving me beauty tips. I would get

Celebrating our Disney Side at Home // #DisneySide
Do you love all things Disney? Want to show off your
Disney Side? We were lucky enough to get that opportunity recently, after I was
sent an application from MomSelect and Maria Bailey. I've been doing surveys
with them for quite awhile, but it was a huge (and happy) surprise to be chosen
as a Disney @ Home Celebrations hostess. We were provided the goodies shown
here in the photo labeled “

Add a piece of bacon to any website
Sometimes it's fun to do random things online. Although I'm not a bacon lover, I thought this cool little trick was fun to do. To get a big ol' piece of bacon on any site, all you have to do is add "http://bacolicio.us/" before the web address. So for example, slather on some bacon (soy, please!) on my blog by copying and pasting this: http://bacolicio.us/http://livingmividaloca.com. Easy and

Moto X introduces Buggy Night by Google Spotlight Stories
When we were looking for a school to enroll son in, one of the requirements that we had was use of technology in and out of the classroom. My son loves technology. He loves making stop motion movies, reviewing products on video for other kids, taking pictures of his toys, playing on his video consoles, and now we can add - using his Moto X phone - to the list. And while he does enjoy the apps

Dark Cherry Buttermilk Cake Recipe
I had the most amazing time last week at the Dole World Headquarters in Westlake Village, California. If you follow me on Instagram, you'd see just how much deliciousness can be made with all the different Dole products, including juices and fruits. Thankfully, I was able to bring back a lot of the recipes back home with me, and I'll be sharing them here, little by little. Today we start with the

Bubblefest 2014 at Discovery Science Center
The 18th Annual Bubblefest is now open at
Discovery Science Center. Each year during spring break they bring out the
white tarp and the bubble wands. If you are like me, for the past 2 weeks I have
been passing by on my way home and watching the tent and huge Bubblefest sign
on top of the building. Every time I passed by, my four kids would scream, "bubbles,
bubbles, bubbles!" They knew what was

Shopping for lingerie
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Figleaves.
I'll take any chance to feel extra girly. Makeup, hair done, dresses... and nice lingerie. While it's nice to wear the trashy lingerie every once in a while too, the kind that you can wear every day is even more important. It's the first thing you put on, and what sets the tone of the day. You will typically find me wearing undies

Snack Time: gopicnic ready-to-eat meals and little me tea
Healthy after-school snacks
My six year old finishes his Kindergarten day completely famished. He comes home and is just starving, all day - every day. So on a recent trip to Expo West, I had the opportunity to pick up some new favorites. My favorite feature about these products is their ease of transportation. I stick the juices in the freezer and by the time I pick up my kid from school,

10 Things You Didn't Know About Strawberries
A couple of weeks ago, the kids and I were fortunate enough to dive in to the delicious world of strawberries thanks to California Strawberries. We had two fun days filled with strawberries, food, friends, and a farm.

5 Tips for Choosing a Convertible Car Seat
This conversation is sponsored in collaboration with Evenflo and Latina Bloggers Connect.
When I had my first child, I didn't think much about what went into a car seat. I chose something within my budget and mostly based on looks. Now, as a more experienced mami, I look for a few must-haves when I purchase a car seat - and between the two kids and two cars, I've done it about six times now! So

Buggy Night on Moto X from a 6 year old's point of view
My six year old is still hooked on his Moto X and on Buggy Night - the most recent episode in the Motorola Spotlight Stories. If he has a great week at school and passes his spelling test, he is rewarded with phone time on the weekends. You'll find him walking around our home raising his phone high and low looking for the little bugs in Buggy Night, and then laughing when the frog eats them.
